Fintech Festival (FinFest): Highlights Of The Day 1

On March 29, around hundreds of established guests were seen attending the Fintech Festival (FinFest) 2018, which was held at Soehanna Hall in The Energy Building, SCBD. Organised by Mobiliari Group, publisher of Indonesia TatlerFinFest 2018 debuted with the theme of “How Technology Drives the Financial Industry”. Aiming to educate and support Indonesians about the uprising of finance technology industry, several prominent keynote speakers from the financial technology industry were asked to share their thoughts and knowledge. Not stopping there, FinFest 2018 also invited several venture capitalists and economic observers to lend in their voice and opinions on the current and the future finance and technology. The FinFest 2018 itself was divided into six sessions, with every session discussing about different and intriguing FinTech topics.

The event began with an opening speech from Millie Stephanie Lukito, the CEO of Mobiliari Group and was followed by conference session opened by Chatib Basri, former Finance Minister 2013-2014, and Triyono Gani, Group Advisor of digital Finance Innovation and Micro Finance Development of Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK).  Some of the other luminaries keynote speakers include Iwan Kurniawan, COO & Co-Founder of Modalku, Johnny Widodo, Director of OVO, Jezzie Setiawan, Founder & CEO of Gandengtangan.com, Rudi Rusdiah, Chairman of Asosiasi Big Data Indonesia, and many more.

“Fintech can be a solution to educate and understand integrated financial products that are in line with the millennial lifestyle—FinTech can be an access point for the millennial generation with the introduction of financial planning tools,” said Andrisyah Tauladan, the COO of Asetku.

Not only that, FinFest 2018 also held an awarding ceremony that acknowledged Asetku as the Most Promising P2P Lending Platform Startup and Investree as the Most Established P2P Lending Platform Startup. FinFest 2018 was held in hopes of becoming a stepping-stone for those who are aspiring to work in this industry.
