ANGEL INVESTMENT NETWORK INDONESIA (ANGIN)

ANGIN April 16th - 29

Entrepreneurship is supporting Indonesia’s micro economy. However, many entrepreneurs are unable to sustain and expand their businesses due to lack of funding and mentorship. Before these new business reach success, they had to close down. To tackle this issue, ANGIN (Angel Investment Network Indonesia) was established in 2013.

ANGIN is a program of Global Entrepreneurship Program Indonesia (GEPI) that provides both fund and mentorship for Indonesian startups. ANGIN’s mission is to catalyze the flow of capital, bridge mentorships from Angels to startups, and connect early stage companies across sectors. With its services and facilities, ANGIN hopes to foster a vibrant startup ecosystem in which angel investors may connect and fund entrepreneurs to create value and growth for startups while aiming for capital appreciation of the investment.

ANGIN is now opening its new batch of investment and accepted startups will receive mentorship and investment up to$150,000. The application will be closed on 28 February 2015. Since its establishment, ANGIN has invested in several startups such as Berry Kitchen, Wangsa Jelita, and Marguerite Nougat.

With ANGIN, startups no longer have to seek investments personally. Startups can present their business ideas directly to angel investors. As a result, startups have the chance to gain capital venture and thus reach expansion.
