Mobiliari Group is now ISO9001 certified

Jakarta, 23 September 2013 — Mobiliari Group, publisher of Indonesia Tatler and a high-profile event organiser, is now ISO 9001:2008 certified. The company received confirmation last week that it is among the few media organisations globally and the first in Indonesia to achieve such certification.

ISO 9001 is a quality management system that is recognised worldwide. It affects every part of a business that directly or indirectly impacts the quality of its products or services. In the case of Mobiliari Group, this meant the development of a set of standard operating procedures and a “quality manual” that covers everything from staff training to magazine quality control.

“Media companies strive for perfection but with so many variables involved in producing magazines or holding events, it can be challenging, if not impossible, to achieve,” said Mrs Millie Stephanie, Founder and CEO of Mobiliari Group.

“For us, then, to standardise as many of our processes and systems as we could, and to be able to implement more stringent quality control than ever before, was the goal we had in mind. And after many months of hard work in putting together our quality management system, the team is proud to have finally been certified,” she said.

Mobiliari Group was founded by Mrs Millie Stephanie and her mother, Mrs Maria Lukito, Bureau Chief of Indonesia Tatler, more than 20 years ago and has grown into a regional publishing powerhouse. The company recently launched two new titles also in the luxury lifestyle sector: JETGALA Indonesia and Indonesia Tatler Traveller.

“Both these magazines reflect our growing ability to serve a certain niche in Indonesia: that of luxury goods and services consumption,” said Mrs Lukito. “Both publications have thus far been very successful in reaching their target markets of affluent males and well-heeled travellers, respectively. ISO certification means we can be sure that their quality will be maintained.

Local registrar PT AJA Sertifikasi Indonesia was the body responsible for the certification.

“We are proud that Mobiliari Group selected us as their partner in achieving ISO 9001:2008 certification, and are doubly proud that they succeeded,” said Dewi Suryati, Director of PT AJA Sertifikasi Indonesia. “It shows that from management to staff, the entire team is committed to achieving and maintaining a consistent level of quality from their operations right to their final products.”
