To celebrate Valentine’s Day and the month of love this year, we invited five sweet young couples to share their romantic stories with us, including Ryan Tjahjana and Juliana Kumala, Dion Soetadi and Miranthy Hakim, Steven Yoe and Michelle Vanesa, Hendry Tan and Imelda Chandra, and Tjut Faranissa and Muhammad Wirajuda. These five pairs share with us their journeys towards blissful marriages and what keeps them in the fast lane of love. Gracing our cover, meanwhile, is the newly elected chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, together with his wife, Anak Agung Ayu Manik Mulyaheni. In this Valentine-themed feature, the couple share their 13-year-long love story and how their different background have actually worked in their favour and made their bond even stronger.

Last year’s famous Le Bal des Débutantes in Paris also brought together lovely young women from the world’s most influential families. Once again, Indonesia Tatler has put the spotlight on this grand gathering, which has become a regular fixture on the social calendar of European high society since 1992.

In our Faces section, we feature profile stories on two very strong personalities: Maryono, Managing Director of Bank BTN, and Louise Hsiao, Director of Italian jeweller Damiani in Indonesia, while in our food section, social darling Lia Lau and her daughter Ann Gunawan Agrippina share an extravagant experience with a Valentine’s celebration at Negev Gastronomy & Art right here in Jakarta.

We also present insider fashion and beauty tips to welcome the year of the monkey and to greet the upcoming Lunar New Year’s celebrations. And last but not least, in the wake of the recent spate of incidents in the capital, we stand firm with all Indonesians in a show of strength and of peace that is reflected in our unique cultural diversity. Love conquers all!
